By the way, the performer states, just so we can identify the slip of paper as yours, should we ever get to see it, what is thename of the magician you were thinking of? For example, the spectator replies, Keller. The performer turns to the audience and says, What the volunteer has just done was afigment of their imagination.What I m about to do is reality! The performer opens thepurse and immediately removes a folded slip of paper that has mysteriously materializedinside.The spectator is asked to remove the slip, confirm that there is nothing else insidethe purse, and read aloud what is written on the paper.The spectator does so and it isseen that the slip contains the signature of Harry Keller. To PrepareYou ll need the coin purse plus five slips of paper trimmed to 4-1/2 wide x 4 deep.Tomake these five slips fit inside the secret compartment in a step-down order after eachhas been quarter folded, leave one slip measuring 4-1/2 wide x 4 deep.The next smallerslip should be trimmed to 4-1/2 wide x 3-3/4 deep.The third slip, 4-1/2 wide x 3-1/2 586 Commercial Material - Ads & Instructionsdeep.The fourth slip, 4-1/2 x 3-1/4 deep and the final slip, 4-1/2 wide x 3 deep.On thesmallest slip sign the name Harry Houdini.On the next largest, Harry Keller.On thenext largest, Howard Thurston.On the next, Dante.Finally on the largest slip, the name,Harry Blackstone.The signatures should appear to be autographs.Quarter fold each slipand arrange them in stepped fashion.Place them in the secret compartment of thepurse with the smallest slip first, and the next four behind it in the order of their size andyou re all set to perform.Simply follow the presentation as detailed.Once you have learned which magician thespectator is thinking of, you ll immediately know which of the folded slips to access.Assoon as you ve delivered the line, What I m about to do is reality, open the secret pocket,reach in with the right fingers and remove the proper slip.Because the five slips are in stepped order and since you ve previously memorized the order of the names on theslips, it s extremely easy to quickly remove the one you need.Show that the spectator sslip has mysteriously materialized.As you do this, quietly allow the purse to close.Now, reopen the purse to the center portion and drop the folded slip back into the purse.Ask the spectator to remove their slip and confirm there is nothing else inside.Once thespectator has read aloud the autograph on the slip, allow them to keep it as a souvenir.Serial Number DivinationTo Prepare:You ll need five of the new U.S.Golden dollar coins.Place these in the secret compartmentside of the coin purse.You ll also need a fairly new dollar bill, but used.Memorize theserial number on this bill.If you have a problem doing this, print the number on a pieceof Scotch Brand Magic Tape using a fine point Sanford permanent ink marking pen.Place the tape along the barrel of the bold marker you will use to write the serial numbersat the conclusion of the effect.Quarter fold the dollar bill with the lighter side out.Placeit in the normal center pocket of the coin purse.Have an 11 x 14 pad or a piece of fomcorto later write the numbers on.To Perform:Remove the purse from your pocket and hold it in your left hand.The secret pocket sidewill face the left palm.State that you would like to purchase a few one dollar bills.Askthe spectators to hold their bills up in the air.This enables you to purchase five bills thatwill resemble your force bill in appearance.Explain that you will swap a new golden USdollar coin for each paper bill you purchase.Open the secret compartment and shake it sothat everyone can hear the coins rattling about
